DC Kishtwar reviews progress of works under District CAPEX Budget 2025-26

Kishtwar, 6th December 2025:Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Sh. Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of developmental works being executed under the District Capex Budget 2025-26.

At the outset, the DC took a detailed review of the ongoing works as well as newly allotted projects during the current financial year.

He emphasized the need for accelerating the pace of execution to ensure timely physical and financial completion of all developmental initiatives.

The DC issued strict directions to all line departments to expedite their activities and avoid any delays.

Stressing the importance of optimal utilization of the limited working season, the DC directed all departments to immediately start all pending allotted works.

The XENs were directed to submit 100% bills of completed works and 70–80% bills of new works in the treasuries during the current month. It was further instructed that the salaries of the concerned DDOs will be withheld in case of non-compliance with these timelines.

He also called upon all Engineering divisions and concerned departments to intensify their efforts to meet public expectations by achieving 100% completion of targets within the stipulated timelines.

The CPO Kishtwar was directed to share a complete list of all works with the SDM’s so that they can physically verify the projects and submit weekly progress reports to the office.

He was also instructed to share a Google Sheet with the concerned officers and dealing assistants, incorporating details such as actual expenditure, bills submitted in treasuries, and pending or uncleared bills, so that the matter may be taken up with the Finance Department for timely clearance.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kishtwar Akhil Thakur (JKES), ACD Kishtwar Manoj Kumar (JKAS); EO MC Kishtwar Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal (JKAS) CEO Kishtwar Sanjay Dogra, XENs; and other concerned officers/ dealing assistants.
